If you’re a local to Calgary, or feel like coming to town for the dopest experience ever, we have just the event for you! NeuroTrition has partnered up with Telus Spark, to bring you Higher Education: A Five Course Menu Masterclass in Cannabis Science.
At this event, you can expect to get schooled in 5 masterclasses, from the leading cannabis scientists and researchers from across North America, while indulging in 5 curated culinary courses.
THE FOOD.
Orsha Magyar, NeuroTrition Founder & CEO, worked with Chef Alison MacNeil of Telus Spark to create a 5 course menu that focuses on the key take-aways from each researcher's talk. Check out details for each masterclass below! This will be the most delicious Sci Comm you have ever tasted.
But wait. There’s more.
We're taking this menu to the next level. Not only will each dish relate to a corresponding talk, we also curated each dish to emphasize a particular terpene found in cannabis. Terpenes give cannabis its known flavour and smell but are not psychoactive. We've worked to incorporate ingredients into our menu that boast the same flavours and scents as those found in select terpenes. For example, the terpene linalool smells and tastes like lavender.
During the evening, as you learn from the neuroscientists, you can expect to go on a culinary journey with these terpenes:
- Beta-Caryophyllene
- Myrcene
- Alpha-Pinene
- Limonene
- Linalool
Keep scrolling to see the menu (and what each of these terpenes makes you feel like).
THE HOSTS.
Orsha will be co-hosting this incredible event with a role model of hers, best-selling author and science broadcaster (you may know him from Daily Planet), Jay Ingram.
Jay and Orsha will be your MCs for the entire event. He'll be guiding you through the science, and she'll be talking all things food (of course!) with you. Jay is also moderating The Great Debate (more on that below) and Orsha will be the “voice of God” in a special melt-your-mind dome show we have planned.
5 COURSES FOR YOUR BRAIN.
North America’s leading cannabis scientists will dish on the most current research in this 5 course masterclass event. You'll hear directly from those who are actually doing the research, instead of having this information filtered through the media. Here's what we have in store for you.
