Join us for an evening of brain food, wine and juice/tea pairings, all served alongside some serious food for thought with NeuroTrition and River Cafe.
We are incredibly excited to partner with Executive Chef Matthias Fong and his culinary team at River Cafe on beautiful Princes Island Park for our latest Brain Food Dinner Party (BFDP, for short).
Guests will leave well fed. And well educated (and just maybe with a few neurons blown because this is going to be so good).
Chef Matthias of River Cafe and Orsha Magyar of NeuroTrition have teamed up to create this latest brain child of ours. And these two couldn’t be more aligned in their food philosophy: make it as local, seasonal, and sustainable as possible, and then make it mind-blowingly delicious. In the case of Chef Matthias, he aspires to be HYPERLOCAL (you got it, everything sourced from right here!) And because we believe eating for brain and mental health doesn't have to be boring— we are going to show you just how amazing it can be.
As each course is being served, you will get schooled by Orsha, on the exciting brain science behind the ingredients in the dish and paired juice/tea in front of you. Chef Matthias will also make appearances to discuss how he and Orsha worked to create this menu, and you can ask him your burning questions (he’s a big deal, and just recently won some pretty major international awards!). The house sommelier will also be discussing the wine pairings, and the bar chef will outline the non-alcoholic pairings.
We are currently hard at work on the menu and, because of its hyperlocal nature, we will be finalizing it only days before the event depending on what ingredients we have. We will be posting a general menu early next week, however, to show you what we have secured so far. We hope to see you for this unique evening with NeuroTrition & River Cafe.

BRAIN FOOD MENU
The menu for this edition of the BFDP is HYPERLOCAL, built with love using ingredients sourced from the immediate vicinity of our city! Each ingredient is hand-selected by Chef Matthias and Orsha to ensure it is a bona fide Brain Food (a.k.a. tastes amazing and has solid research backing it). And just to make it extra special for all you neuro-nerds who want to geek out on gut-brain health, too, we’ve also incorporated delicious probiotics AND prebiotics into each dish.
Selected wine and custom created juice/tea pairings will accompany each course. And in true River Cafe style, there’ll be a surprise little finale treat to end the evening with (or take home)!
