Join us for a night to remember featuring beautiful local, seasonal cuisine, perfectly paired wines and specially hand-crafted fresh pressed juices, mocktails and chilled teas. And, of course, a dialogue about brain and mental health — with talks from Chef, Somm and Orsha as each course is lovingly served.
For our 6th Brain Food Dinner Party (BFDP), we are excited to partner with Executive Chef Jamie Harling and his dream team at Deane House. Located in the historic neighbourhood of Inglewood, this is the first BFDP we will be taking outdoors! Guests will be greeted with a glass of champagne or prosecco (or non-alcoholic surprise) and encouraged to mingle in the grounds, before settling in for the evening at a long table set in the middle of the garden (which is in full bloom!) at Deane House.
Guests will leave well fed, with a 5-course tasting menu (see below) custom created for this event (and ONLY for this event - it won't be available at Deane House after) by Chef Jamie and Orsha. Guests will also leave well educated (with just maybe with a few neurons blown) with the conversations about brain food we are planning to start.
Deane House’s motto is “Farm. Forage. Prairie. Coast.” So think local, seasonal, sustainable ingredients from Canada’s great bounty seamlessly transformed into a glorious garden dinner party, over a sunset and under the stars. That’s our inspiration for this BFDP.
As you may know, our vision is to spark and spread a brain food revolution. So, of course, think Brain Food too. Because eating for brain and mental health doesn't have to be boring—and we are going to show you just how delicious it can be.
As each course is being served, you will get schooled by NeuroTrition's Orsha Magyar, on the exciting brain science behind the ingredients in the dish and paired mocktail in front of you. Chef Jaimie and Deane House’s Sommelier will be introducing each course and wine pairing, and their thoughts on brain food. You will also have an opportunity to listen to Chef Jamie's experience working with NeuroTrition on their collaborative menu, and ask him your burning questions about his menu.
